Welcome to my very first blog post...

Today I thought that it would be very helpful for my first post to talk about small spaces and the way that you can make it work no matter the dimensions. If you live in a small apartment and you feel bad and embarrassed about it, because your friends live in their huge, lordly and luxurious palace I am just telling you, you shouldn't feel this way. By the time that 1.YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY ONE 2. I PREFER SMALL COSY INTERIORS 3.THERE ARE MANY SOLUTIONS rather than move to a house that you cannot afford.

Today I am going to talk about 5 and most important in my opinion TIPS.

1. USE BRIGHT COLOURS

This is a perfect example of a very well designed small living room / office. Bright whites and neutral furniture selection creates a casual, relaxing and at the same time comfortable interior.

Bright colours such as snow-white have the ability to create an illusion the that the space has been expanded.

2. SHELVING

Shelving around the TV unit are always needed, not only for styling and design purposes but also for storage. By the time that your space is limited adding open shelving for additional books and other accessories allows you to be a little more creative.

3. CURTAINS

If you would like to add curtains I highly recommend to hang them from ceiling height rather than from the top of the window. By the time that the curtain will draw the eye upward and automatically the view of the room will be expanded.

4. MIRROR, MIRROR ON THE WALL

Mirrors are always an excellent decorating idea as they have the tendency to create the illusion of a bigger interior, by the time that they reflect the lighting.

So add light fixtures and mirrors people...

5. SHORT LEG FURNITURE

Choosing short legs for the most of the furniture selection you are automatically increasing the height of the ceiling, which is essential for a small interior space.
